From the latest beauty products to the most important issues facing mums, I have been paid to witter on about many things in my life to date. I have reviewed the latest and greatest wrinkle creams, tried and tested a range of mind boggling baby gadgets and travelled to foreign shores all in the name of journalism. Not exactly a hard life some would say....
My finest and most rewarding years were as part of the Netmums team where I got to not only write about the various issues facing mums, but also made several appearances on the BBC couch with Bill and Sian and experienced a rather nerve-wracking interview with Krishnan Guru-Murthy, one of my all time favourite news reporters.
Netmums, for anyone who doesn't know, is one of the finest parenting websites on the planet. Not just an information site, it activates some cracking campaigns that make a serious difference to mum's lives. Whether they're struggling with a new baby, coping with relationship problems or facing more serious issues like postnatal depression. See what all the fuss is about here: www.netmums.com
As well as being paid to write, I also compile a blog which is basically a mixture of musings, news and rants about everything. From life in Perth, Australia where I currently live to culture, clothes, music, photography, food, kids, travel - it embodies a mixture of 'stuff' that I hope people will find of interest in some shape or form. There's not really a set structure or direction but then that's what blogging is about I suppose...
